Starting Monday, March 16 all Housing Authority offices will be closed to the public until further notice. This is in response to the Governor's emergency declaration for government agencies to take proactive measures to decrease the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. We will keep you advised of when the offices will reopen via this website. If you need to contact the Housing Authority during the time we are closed to the public, please call (425) 258-9222. Senior Housing – Affordable and Subsidized

Everett Housing Authority has recently acquired several affordable and subsidized properties for seniors.

The new senior affordable portfolio consists of 5 affordable properties for individuals 55 years of age or older and one property for individuals 62 years of age or older that include both one- and two-bedroom apartments. These properties are offered at below-market rents. There is a minimum gross monthly income of 2 times the rent. The rents range from $470 to $800 for a one-bedroom apartment and from $560 to $960 for a two-bedroom apartment. (Rents are subject to change without notice.)

The new senior subsidized portfolio consists of 11 properties for individuals 62 years of age or older. The properties have studio and one-bedroom apartments. Residents pay 30% of their income towards rent, as these properties include project-based assistance. There is no minimum income requirement.

Everett Housing Authority originally had two other properties for seniors that were subsidized with project-based vouchers.  EHA’s original senior property portfolio accepted either 55 years of age and older, 62 years of age and older, and qualified adults with disabilities. These properties include studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments. Since the rents are subsidized with project-based vouchers, residents pay 30% of their income toward rent. There is no minimum income requirement.
