Everett Housing Authority Notice of Public Meeting Resident Population Mixes for Bakerview and Broadway Plaza

Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, November 10, 2016 the Everett Housing Authority will hold a public meeting to discuss policies and goals for the resident populations for Bakerview and Broadway Plaza. The public meeting will be held:

Thursday, November 10, 2016
6:30pm-8:30pm
Bakerview Community Center Large Hall
1401 Poplar Street
Everett, WA 98201

Everett Housing Authority will discuss the changes in population at the two properties and proposed efforts to continue to serve both the elderly and younger households at these properties and through other EHA programs. EHA wants to ensure that all household types have continued access to subsidized housing resources in a manner that pursues a high quality of life in the resident communities. Specifically, EHA proposes to limit the number of younger households in the two communities while increasing opportunities for younger households through project-based voucher assistance. In addition, EHA is mindful of the need for increased housing for the elderly created by the doubling of the percentage of individuals 65 and older in Snohomish County within the next two decades.

The Bakerview Community Center Large Hall is accessible to persons with disabilities. To request accommodations for persons with disabilities or to receive information in alternative formats please call Erica Dias at 425-339-1009. TTD/TTY 425-303-1111 or email.
