Senior and Affordable Housing

HUD senior housing programs, administered by Everett Housing Authority, provide affordable rental options for seniors aged 62 or older with low incomes. Key programs include Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers for private market rentals and Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly, which includes services. 

  • Section 8 / Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV): EHA manages these vouchers, which help seniors pay rent in the private market.
  • Section 202 Supportive Housing: Provides low-income elderly residents with apartments that include support services like cleaning and transportation.
  • Public Housing: Affordable apartments owned/managed by EHA specifically for low-income families and seniors.

Eligibility and Access

  • Age Requirement: Generally 62 years of age or older.
  • Income Limit: Must meet low-income criteria set by HUD.
