OTHER QUESTIONS:

What if I'm on a different waiting list for another housing authority?

Each housing authority maintains its own waiting lists.  You still need to apply for housing through EHA if you wish to be housed at an EHA property.

How long can I expect to be on this waiting list?

EHA is not able to provide a specific wait time, because this depends on the number of people who apply and turnover at the properties.

What will my rent be if I am accepted to live at one of these properties?

Your rent will be about 30% of your income.  The project-based voucher will cover the difference between your share of the rent and the set rent for the unit.

What if I need housing right now?

EHA does not offer emergency housing.  Please call 2-1-1 or go to wa211.org to find available resources for housing and other basic needs.
