The Everett Housing Authority offers an excellent benefits package which strives to keep employees healthy, allows them to continue to advance in their careers, and plan for their futures. We understand that flexibility is important, and we want our employees to have a solid work/life balance so we provide staff the option to work a flexible schedule. The benefits package is available to all regular, eligible employees.
Cigna PPO Plan, low deductible plan employer paid at 80%
Cigna HDIP (high deductible plan) employer paid at 80%. This is combined with a health savings account plan that includes an employer contribution.
Dental insurance coverage through Guardian Insurance is paid at 100%.
Basic life insurance coverage through Guardian Life Insurance is paid at 100%. Additional life insurance coverage is available to employees through a payroll deduction.
Long Term Disability
All eligible employees may purchase Long Term Disability coverage through Guardian Insurance.
Eligible employees are immediately enrolled into Washington State retirement system, PERS (Public Employee’s Retirement System).
All eligible employees have the option to participate in a deferred compensation plan which is a tax-deferred retirement savings option available through a payroll deduction.
All eligible non-exempt employees accrue up to 12 days of vacation in their first year of employment. All eligible employees accrue 13 paid sick leave days annually. EHA observes 11 paid scheduled holidays, and employees who complete their probationary period are eligible for an additional floating holiday. Part-time employees accrue time off on a pro-rated basis. Accrued time off rolls into the next calendar year.
Employee Assistance Program

Flexible Work Schedule
EHA offers alternate work schedules and the option to flex time so that employees can enjoy a work/life balance. All administrative staff work 37.5 hours per week and our maintenance staff work 40 hours per week.
This voluntary program is designed to improve the health and well-being of all employees. Fun individual and team challenges are offered to participating employees, and $20 monthly incentives are provided to those that complete challenges.
Eligible employees will be reimbursed for 80% of the tuition cost of pre-approved, job-related courses, up to $5,250/year.
Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
As a public sector employee, you may qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Under this program, you may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance due on your student loan. Learn more about the PSLF program here, or read the PSLF program fact sheet (pdf).
*An eligible employee is typically a regular, full-time employee. Regular, part-time employees who work more than 30 hours per week will be eligible for pro-rated benefits.
