EHA & ARC Present Ben Young Senior Housing at Port Gardner Neighborhood Association Meeting

On June 10th, ARC Architects and EHA staff presented on the Ben Young Senior Housing (BYSH) development to the Port Gardner Neighborhood Association. The meeting was held at the Obsidian Beer Hall located at 1420 Hewitt Avenue, Everett, WA 98201.  The meeting was attended by about 30 people. After a short presentation on the project, there was a 15-to-20-minute question and answer session to address the concerns of the community. Notice is hereby given that the regular Board of Commissioners meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 28, 2024, is hereby cancelled. The next regular meeting of the Everett Housing Authority Board of Commissioners will be on Monday, June 3, 2024 at noon.
Major Galloway Steps Down as Executive Director of the Everett Housing Authority; Board Announces Interim Director and Search

The Everett Housing Authority (EHA) announced that Major Galloway has decided to resign as Executive Director. The Board of Commissioners has appointed Mary Swenson with GMP Consultants as Interim Director effective April 1, 2024. Galloway stated: “This is a mutually agreed upon decision under the circumstances. This decision is in the best interest of my family, my future professional endeavors, and the Everett Housing Authority. Despite the short tenure, a sound operating plan has been outlined to move the Authority forward.” Galloway will provide temporary transition support to the Board of Commissioners and Interim Executive Director Swenson. Everett Housing Authority Waiting List Opening April 1, 2024 The PBV waiting list is now closed for the properties mentioned below.   The Everett Housing Authority (EHA) will open the Project Based Voucher waiting list to applicants for the Grandview Homes, Pineview Homes, Timber Hill Apartments, Evergreen Court Senior Apartments, and Village East Senior Apartments. Information about each property can be found on our website at www.evha.org.  The waiting list will open on April 1, 2024, at 9:00 am and close on April 26, 2024, at 5:00 pm.
