Baker Heights Community Input Meetings Have Concluded!

EHA Accepted into MTW Demonstration Program

In January 2021, after conducting resident and participant engagement, Everett Housing Authority (EHA) applied to join the MTW demonstration as part of the Rent Reform group, which will study a new way of setting rents/tenant payments for some residents and participants.  We formally joined the demonstration this summer.   The next step will be for EHA to develop an MTW Supplement to its Public Housing Agency Annual Plan, describing in more detail the specific new policies that EHA will implement in its first year of participating in MTW.  EHA will hold public meetings in late 2021 or early 2022, to be announced soon, for residents/participants to learn more and provide feedback on the MTW Supplement.   MTW is a demonstration... Village East Waitlist Opening June 18, 2021

Village East is located in beautiful Monroe, Washington, right next door to the East County Senior Center. These apartments serve adults 62 years of age or older. The waitlist is open for 1-bedroom apartments effective June 18, 2021. Applications are being accepted online and registration requires an email address. Please call 425-339-1049 for questions. Construction at Baker Heights Legacy

Baker Heights Legacy, located on the 1400 blocks of Fir, Larch, and Pine streets, is scheduled to commence construction on the week of May 3rd, 2021.  The construction schedule is estimated to be approximately 20 months. We will provide updates at major milestone events to keep the community apprised of progress.

EHA partners on equitable approach to vaccinate elderly residents for COVID-19

COVID vaccinations are being offered to elderly residents with low incomes at Everett Housing Authority (EHA) properties in Everett and Snohomish County through on-site mobile clinics. The Snohomish County Vaccine Taskforce, local fire departments, and EHA are partnering to offer on-site mobile clinics in EHA senior apartment buildings. Fire Department Emergency Medical Services workers are administering the vaccinations in the community rooms of the apartment buildings. This effort was highlighted in the Lynnwood Times. Resident Advisory Board Meeting on EHA’s Annual Plan for 2021-22  December 9, 2020 -- 6 to 7:30 P.M. Everett Housing Authority (EHA) invites Voucher Program and Public Housing participants to join the Resident Advisory Board (RAB)!  EHA is developing its Annual Plan that will be effective July 1, 2021, and it needs the RAB’s input as part of that process.  The RAB’s role is to provide comment on activities and policy initiatives EHA will be pursuing in order to achieve its 5 Year Goals and Objectives, and to recommend any other areas of focus or specific activities to include in the Annual Plan.  The meeting is optional, but your voice is important.  Please consider attending!      ...
