Village East is located in Monroe and serves adults 62 years of age or older.  There are 38 one-bedroom apartments in a 3-story building with an elevator for easy access.  There are onsite laundry facilities and parking available for residents.  The Monroe Public Library is close by and the Monroe Senior Center is just across the patio and serves lunch on weekdays.  Village East is subsidized with project-based assistance and residents pay approximately 30% of their income towards rent. The first-floor community room has a full kitchen and can be reserved for private or group activities.  There is also a smaller community room on an upper floor suitable for smaller gatherings of ten or so.
